Re: Pino Grande Rail / Road Trip

I think with the interest started here, we should plan a road trip into the woods after the spring thaw. Late May is usually pretty good bet to get in there. I know I have done the Rubicon Trail located nearby in the month of May's past.
I just finished a similar trip on the West Side and Pickering lines. Also Bruce MacGregor did a walking rail tour of the former South Pacific Coast out of Felton this year, and recently a local historian Sandy Liden did a trek to view the epicenter of the Loma Prieta earthquake site and much of the former 30" gauge line is still visible including trestles etc.
So if anyone is interested, my vote goes for Spring of 05 to find the lost narrow gauge lines of the west tour!
