To complete the record, Magic Mountain was affiliated with Zeckendorf Corporation, a Denver based development company that later went bankrupt.
The Magic Mountain property sat until it was acquired by the Woodmoor Corporation, another developer, known for their Shopping Centers. Magic Mountain was remaned "Heritage Square". Woodmoor moved the 42 from the Magic Mountain location to an area outside their company headquarters in Monument, Colorado. The Railroad was subcontracted to Ed Gerlits who converted it to 2' gauge and ran his equipment there until he retired and closed the attraction.
From Woodmoor, I believe, although it may not be correct, that ownership went to the D&SNG and the locomotive was moved to Durango for possible restoration.
