Like all other old areas of significance to Colorado's Mountian Railroad history on the Front Range, Pine and the surrounding environs are now populated with folks who seek solitude and mountain bliss, not the attraction of tourists and the noise and pollution of the trains that attract them.
I'm amazed the Museum in Golden can still light a fire in a steam locomotive.
Think of your idea as being viewed as a reverse concept of the "Field of Dreams".
Don't build it, and they won't come. That's what you'd face today.
Neat idea, though.
