As to leadership ability........When you hear someone yell "lead, follow or get out of the way" I'm the guy you see getting out of the way.
However... Yep, the front guard has got to go and the low-clearance cab as well. I wouldn't mind a plantation-style cab like #110. It would be fun to resto one that we needn't be overly concerned with historical accuracy or returning it to one particular period. I'd like to see that original pic sometime.
The truck-type radiator is a puzzler, but Climax built a lot of engines for stationary applications too, so maybe some models came equipped that way.
I don't think Plymouth built any lokies with side rods, but could be wrong there. I'll ask John T. sometime, after he cools down.
