The Strasburg Rail Road does build its own Baker Heaters, but they don’t have any outside pumps, they work on natural circulation just like the originals. They heat much more evenly than a stand alone stove since they have a baseboard register running the length of the car. In the case of the Parlor car, and the Diner, this allows the heater to be remote from the passenger area completely, in each case they are located at the kitchen end of the car. They are not prone to freezing, since they are charged with automotive antifreeze. You do need to fire them with restraint though, since too much heat will lift the safety valve, partially draining the system.
