Thanks. Obviously I am not as knowledgeable on this as some others. The discussion of roller bearing vs friction bearing might be something that the C & TS really needs to look into.
I don't which would be easiest for the railroad to acquire for their future passenger cars but it does sound like the roller bearings are less expensive to maintain.
Also, I can only take the word of others as to their capabilities on steep grades and I have heard two different stories. I'll just leave it to those who know more than I do which is almost everybody.
I'm not trying to show what knowledge I have. I just trying to learn a little (even at my age).
I do know that those WP&Y cars are quite attractive and they did have stoves. It seems to me, with stoves comes heat and with heated passenger cars possibly the tourist season could be longer in the future. I know for a fact that I would love to ride the train during late fall or early in the spring when there is still some snow on the ground
