Hamilton Manufacturing is associated with a Hamilton Construction located in Skagway. The construction firm is a heavy general contractor who has done bridges and appearently has done heavy construction work for the White Pass. The work in the Seattle area appears to be done during the winter when you cann't work outside at Skagway.
The Hamilton family is one of the families that has been associated with the White Pass for years in various capacities. Back in the mid-seventies a Hamilton held a position as assistant Superintendent at Skagway. Also a member of the family is the Jim Hamilton that once was advertising manager for TRAINS Magazine and Klambach Publishing; after retiring from that job he returned to Seattle and worked for North West Short Line, the model wheel and gear manufacturer.
