Could not agree more--if you can see only one do the C&TS. Spent 8-9 on the D&S and 8-10 on the C&TS last week. The former has a nice museum both in Durango and in Silverton. One can catch a glimpse of the 486 but one is not allowed in that part of the roundhouse or the backshop. The new Dennis Weaver tape plays constantly in the Museum and is quite well done. In Chama, one is allowed almost complete access to everything that is going on. I got a close up view of 497 being put back together as well as work beginning on 483. I agree that observing operations on the C&TS is just like it was when the D&RGW ran the show. Enjoy!
