Re: D&RGW 169 Update

I wish we could get someone from Monte Vista, Alamosa, Creede or even Antonito to comment on what they have planned for 169. I believe the web site for "Friends of 169" has not been updated, BUT - I have not checked it lately. I know two years ago, or so, I talked to someone at the Chamber of Commerce, and they thought they might be able to get a grant to do the third rail, because of the depressed state of the county. That was prior to the Union Pacific selling off to Rail America (San Luis Rio Grande). I was skeptical of the deal, based on the rules governing active freight vs. tourist operations.
