I heard years ago, they were thinking about putting in a third rail between Alamosa and Antonito, or between Alamosa and Monte Vista. Now I am hearing that with the work being done in Creede, they are thinking about having this operator run the operation - IF his operation pans out. He is currently working on a standard gauge tourist operation but having problems with local opposition. Perhaps someone from that area can update us on his efforts.
