Since movies, plays, commercials, TV shows, etc all are based on the audience suspending disbelief (i.e. Star Trek's warp speed and phasers etc are not possible right now although the cell phone is very similar to the communicator), I usually seem to be able to watch the movie or show accepting the shows impossibilities or improbabilities (like Air Force One the movie) and enjoy the story.
I also find it fun to look for the inconsistancies (i.e. "North to Alaska" in the final fight scene, John Wayne is "hit" and his toupe falls off).
