South Park, you are correct that not very many people care about the authenticity in movies because it is just "make believe."
I get a laugh every time I hear a modeler say he wants to get track plans for the Salida yard or some other location, becuase they would have to have a basement that would be 100 feet long to get the "exact" look. Most people would not know or "care" if his models are just like the real thing.
But if that is what makes their life happy (as mundane and funny as we percieve it to be), so be it.
