Ken,
I love Buena Vista, and always appreciate your concise posts on all things South Park.
Hey, I have a very sober outlook on reality, and face it, all of this is nothing but an "escape" from reality for all of us, ... otherwise we'd all be discussing freeway construction, you know!
I guess my point is something of cynicism toward "us" ever expecting the light to suddenly come on in the room where all the drones ("average people") live. We all wish they would see the value in historical preservation and such, but it just ain't gonna happen! Maybe a few of their children will get the bug (isn't that what happened to most of us already here?), but it would be a waste of valuable time and energy to get worked up into a snit expecting the sky to fall. If it isn't "convenient" and involve ICBO mandated parking and "green strips", it is doubtful that the "public" will find much interest in our "stupid" and "boring" ...oh yeah, and greasy, dusty, sweaty, dirty, and most of all YUCKY! causes.
Of course, taking the opportunity to tease Del Viceroy de Enterprise about wishful thinking and anything RR related is a chance not to be missed! Keep an eye on this cat. He may very well try and take you out on old grades and show you wrecked rail cars and railroad camps. ... greasy, dirty, yucky! 8^P
