As I have said, I make no accusations concerning the commissioners— I don’t see where you can say I’m “dragging their names through the mud”. Others here have called for investigations, audits and reviews of the railroad’s books and finances in view of the indictment. Honestly, I don’t know if that is warranted or not.
What I have pointed out is that there are conflicts of interest here, and that the commission and the railroad would be best served by having an outside body conduct the investigation. I don’t see why you have an issue with that? If there is nothing to hide as you suggest, then the commission and the railroad would be best served by having an objective outside audit or review done by an objective outside entity. Frankly, it would look unseemly for the commission to investigate itself.
