Instead of making snide passive aggressive posts, how about sending $35 to join the Friends of the C&TS. You will get their quarterly magazine, the "C&TS Dispatch", which details all the work that goes on each year in the many work sessions.

Considering that many EBT volunteers live close enough that they can drive up for a weekend, vs. the challenge C&TS volunteers face in getting to Chama, I'd say the Friends of the C&TS do a darn good job. Rebuilding the car inspectors house and renovating the section house at Cumbres pass were major tasks. Of course once the work is done it isn't obvious how much work went into getting it that way.
