It has come to my attention that the water situation in Chama may still not be understood.
My report at the Commission meeting is correct.
The fundamental issue of the ability to treat water fast enough remains. That problem will not be solved until improvements at the treatment plant are completed.
The leaks that caused the crisis have been located and fixed.
There is potable water in Chama.
Conservation by the residents is working and visitors can expect to find water here in Chama at the hotels, motels, and B&Bs when they come.
The Railroad does not use city water for the steam locomotives.
The summer has been very wet and for the first time in my memory there is water in "Lake Lobato" after the middle of June.
As a result fire danger is currently quite low.
I hope this clears up any confusion.
