May I please point out one thing?
The 30/74 never ran on the Clear Creek lines.
The B-4-F's were deemed by the C&S engineering Department as being too heavy for the bridges and too big for the clearances there.
That's why these "Cold Water Brooks" were assigned to the Leadville lines.
Granted, today they might fit, but I'd be doing some mighty quick measuring. First, measure the length of the locomotive, I believe that it's longer than the 40 or 44. Could there be some curve problems??? Yup! Am I willing to come back to Silver Plume and rebuild the rock wall in the cut again? Nope! Besides, my wall building partner, Dave Woodring, has long since passed the bonds of this earth.
Jason, Take the free (err... tax, err.. gambling) money, fix the locomotive (remember the hub liners unlike they did on the 71), declare the locomotive too long for the line, thank the CHS, smile and RUN!!!!!!!!!
