Mike,
You're not remembering that there also needs to be a monument built to the deftness of the CU students when it comes to the use of dynamite. They successfully blew up the RGS caboose and then tried with the 280, although much less successfully, they just cracked a few frame timbers. Since Dyno Nobel has purchased a chemical company here in Wyoming, I humbly suggest that you look to them for donations for a statue of the caboose in mid-explosion, for the children, of course
Yes, this is the same Boulder that treated Broomfield so well for so long that it recently seceeded from Boulder county. But Boulder had to short-change Broomfield, for Boulder's children, of course.
Maybe, using the "Do it for the Children" idea, you could add a bunch of kiddie-height benches in front of the Bandshell in the park where the train used to set. Wouldn't Forrest Crossen and John Schooland have been proud of what their noble venture has become?
But I don't blame Jason for being excited, after all, the 30 will be removed to someplace else, anyplace else. Remember Jason's from Niwot and the BCRHS grounds are actually in Ara. But we have to keep this stuff out of downtown Boulder, for the children, of course.
Rick
