Rather odd, is it not, that after vehemently bashing me for running a charter westbound from Antonito in the afternoon ("in the wrong direction at the wrong time of day", IIRC) that Jay would do the same thing himself only a few years later. Maybe he was just jealous that his #1 target, The JéBêWèX, caught a book-cover-quality photo at Phantom Curve on 05/25/2010 . . . *

I've heard rumors that he had stiffed the C&TS, but was unaware of the DRHS #315 problem. I can forgive Jay the personal insults he sent my way, to which I long ago responded,* but this actual harm to the RR and related organizations – along with his well-known part in the sabotage of the #483 – K-28 swap – is REALLY hard to swallow. I'm not sure in which of the circles of Dante's
Inferno Jay is now dwelling – probably not as close to the center as Vladimir Rats-Putin & his 'Useful Idiot'** are headed, and one or two layers deeper than my fellow Curmudgeons and I will eventually be – but even the atheists among us will probably agree with Shakespeare's assessment that
“The evil that men do lives after them; The {little} good is oft interred with their bones.”
