Thanks for posting these pictures of your adventure Olaf. Brings back memories of a sleeping tourist railroad I visited on a whim in a snowy and cold Chama in April 1972. Having worked on the Jordan spreader restoration (and the flangers as well), I am always interested in photos of them in use.
-11 F here in Iowa this morning, lends appreciation to what these hardy RR crews and their machines endure, and not just on the narrow gauge of days past, but in the here and now on railroads everywhere in winter, makes me shiver, brrr, throw another log on the fire already...........
