It looks to me like the first two were taken from almost the exact same spot where my friends and I first met you and Ernie in mid-August about 15 months before. IIRC, the tracks were buried under a lot of slippery weeds after several weeks of no trains due to a washout on the Farmington branch, and it took nearly an hour for the two-engine freight to work its way past us gaining ten or twelve yards at a time while we all sat on the hillside and ate lunch.

p.s. It looks like the last two are out of order, with #3 actually taken several minutes after the others as the train passed Mudhen Marsh / Perry's Pond at the third crossing, near Coxo.
