Well, I'm not going to argue with the guy who shot these great pics, but I think the broad side shot (#4) is at Perry's Pond. The pics approaching the crossing have our hero on a slightly elevated spot above the tracks, as does the going away shot with his trusty VW posing as get-a-way vehicle. I don't think there is a spot at the old 2nd crossing that allows you to get a below railhead shot with what appear to be a pond in the shot. The only below rail shot could be back down around the curve where the first shot is taken, where the track is on a fill. But, I never saw any water backed up behind that fill.

Besides, I don't think brother Olaf can run THAT fast.
