Re photo sequence - the photo sequence as originally posted was not correct, but corrections have been made. I did try to take photos at Perry's Pond a little later, but it was not as successful as hoped as the brush around the pond was just too thick (years later Jay Lentzner made a substantial effort to cut away all the willows blocking the view of the grade). Anyway here are two Perry's Pond photos, willows and all. Fireman Stanley Smith seems to be putting in a good fire for the climb to Coxo and Windy Point.
