I guess I jumped the gun. I had not read down as far as the previous thread. Looks like my info was correct as it concurs with what Marty said.
I was at Crossroads for the railfan weekend when 464 dropped a grate. The guys in the shop worked their buns off into the wee hours of the night to replace the grate and get a fire back in 464 ready for the morning run. What with modelling the D&RGW, seeing 464 running at the park was a real treat. The shop did a wonderful job of restoring her to operating condition.
I too like the longer run but I guess we look at it from a railfan perspective.
I have visited the "Huck" many times starting back when my kids were little. My youngest celebrated her 27th birthday yesterday. It's been a few years now since I was there. Maybe time for a visit this summer.
Good luck turning that "broke college kit" into a more favourable financial position.
