As recently as 2019, though, the NSRM had assembled a plan calling for a full, operational restoration: [

That report does allow that any such restoration would probably only include just enough original fabric to ensure 'continuity of essence' -- in other words, a reasonable person could squint at it and say with a straight face "yeah, I guess it's still the 'Reno.'" It's also worth noting that these are data points from across several years, and data can change. Hopefully we'll know what she's truly made of once the new owners take a serious look at her.
