I just got back from a great vacation up in that area, and while I guess I can understand his feelings over visitors (I was one of them myself, but treated his property with great respect, took nothing, destroyed nothing, but enjoyed the view tremedously!!!) I can't help but feel pieved over these "developer" types who try this kind of blackmail occasionally!! I really will feel ticked if he goes thru with it, mainly because my 16 year old son, who has gone through the usual teenage stuff like hard rock music, wrestling, etc., has recently developed a serious interest in Colorado's mining history, and He THOROUGHLY enjoyed visiting the National Belle, Yankee Girl, and many others. Now, he is interested in something historic, wholesome and signifigant, and it would be a shame to see it detroyed right before the eyes of someone to whom it is just opening up new vistas. But he might get to see human greed and "me-only" type self satisfaction at its mightiest; and we will all be losers in this one!!
