I am probably the one referred to as far as locomotive paint. I think we often forget how much goes on under the hood that the surface appearance isnt the entire story. I appreciate the work ya'll are doing to remove the habit of band-aid fixes that might get you through next week and are working to do it right. My commentary about paint comes from that marketing background of "this is the most photographed thing on the line, it should make people want to ride". Which is important, yes, but not if the locomotive breaks down in the middle of nowhere and people are delayed six hours and complain online about how awful the experience was.
