I will be interested to see how close the contractor can get to making it look original. They will also have to keep the wall no higher than the road surface so the snow slide doesn't catch it again.
I was always amazed the RR took that path to go down the mountain. In Colorado surveyors need to stay in the pine trees. Bare ground and Aspens are where the slides run. All that said, I'd love to see it back in because a vehicle is the only way I'll ever see it again! My old railroader knees aren't walking up there!
