Williams Pass road historically has been open for August only and is/was impassable to many 4WD vehicles, due to the rocks and boulders in the road. Last time I was on the road, a group of motorcyclists stopped several times watching as I worked my way through the trail. Apparently they had seen several folks try but not make it. Do their plans include clearing the road? It was a great challenge.
