I imagine that the construction of trstles and bridges will be one of the most significant parts of reconstruction expense. We will need a bridge at S wye, a trestle at Alder Springs, at least 2 major trestles on the Curry Branch, maybe more as I haven' followed the Southern side down to Whitney. We'll also need a bridge back across the Powder River above the Lake. Does anyone of my fellow dreamers know how we would conect back into our mainline above the Lake as the original connection is under the Lake. I assume we would have to pioneer back west and come across the valley around Hudspeth Rd. or perhaps come across and tie into the original Y tail track at old McEwen. I beleive Jim Lethlene told me that their was a logging branch that did just that.
On the subject of expansion, there was a passenger I talked to earlier this season when I was conducting that said there is a group down Prarrie City way that wants to lay track on the old SVRy grade on Dixie Mtn. into Prarrie City. Jim Lethlene had also mentioned this early this spring. Does anyone have any details on this group?
