It was not really an extension. The original EIS had not expired, but was getting to a point where we either had to proceeed with the permit process, for the rail line, or not.
We opted to proceed, and hopefully an engineering feasibility study will be completed giving us an exact location for the line, the number of trestles, bridges, mitigation, etc. will be known.
Steve is absolutely right. We talked over coffee earlier this week.
Building to Preserve History, is our motto and we will certainly be doing that, with this extension.
Better still would be to be able to utilize the main line to Whitney, over Larch, then up Trout Creek to the top of the Curry Line and back down into the valley.
