I doubt that Henry would be a very good source, since so far as I can tell he is not much of a steam fan. But he might have some general info, especiallhy about the one or two serviceable locos. Chris Scow might be a better source. From the pix I've seen the Zacapa and Puerto Barrios roundhouses (or what's left of them) seem to have a number of hulks. I would also guess that some ex-IRCA engines also survive in El Salvador, as well as whatever is left of the of old Ferrocarril El Salvador...which was still link-n-pin into the 1980's.
My wife and I quit visiting after spending some time looking down the barrel of an Uzi held by a 14 or 15 year old "soldier". But things have since calmed down, and maybe it is time for another visit to pick through the ruins.
