Thanks for the corrections Bill, Ted started volunteering long before I showed up so some of the early information was from others. I started volunteering in Chama so it was several years before I got to meet Ted and Nancy, but the stories about all the work the Square Nail Gang was accomplishing were legendary at that time.
One of the marks of a good team leader is that they can roll with the punches and adapt when something isn't there or doesn't go right, (Usually case) Being so remote like Osier you had better bring about twice as much equipment as you needed just to cover your butt. My brother in law used to say "I'd rather be looking at it than looking for it", but no matter how much stuff you brought out, there always seems be be something you needed that you left at home.
