That is one of two ex-Chama cars, standard gauge from the Butte, Anaconda and Pacific or something. We obtained them in a trade with the C&TS for some flatcar frames. Sans trucks, of course. Those were obtained through another trade. Lots of horse trading going on.
We did some redesigning of the doors, and this one seems to be working well. The other car is on the RIP awaiting time and money to fix up.
The car lettering and paint was quick and dirty, but it seems to be holding up OK.
The 107 lettering is a stop-gap deal until the locomotive can be painted. That timeframe is unclear -- based largely on funds and time and an indoor place to work. So we're leaving it in White Pass colors a little while, at least.
Capable hands are following down some minor issues with the engine, but it seems to be a good fit for the railroad, from what I've heard. I love it.
The ampersand is a little experiment. We'll see how that goes. I haven't had time to put the vinyl on the other side. Maybe after the 312 gets varnished this week.
Hope all of you are well. Stay safe.
