Note that 955 was not part of the same series as the other C-41's you reference. #955 (post 1924, orig D&RG #905. Baldwin 1900) was built as a simple engine with 22x28" cylinders and 54" drivers as opposed to the 1902 compounds which were rebuilt with 21x30" cylinders and had 55" drivers.
The 1902 series of engines (1100-1130, later 1000-1029) were class 190 , class C-41-191 after 1924.
The 1900 series (901-915, later 950-964) were class 185 , class C-41-185
D&RGW had several classes of std gauge 2-8-0 in the range that wound up being Classes 38-41. I made a post listing them all some time back.
