It was complete and had the tender she picked up from 494 in 1962. That tender went with 499 to the Gorge in the trade for 486. 499 was bought by the D&S with no tender and was reportedly purchased solely as a parts source....can't confirm that. 498 and 493 were stored serviceable in 1968 inside the Alamosa RH where they sat until 1981. So they were both in pretty good condition and complete when delivered to the D&S.
