Love the shots - particularly the crew preparing lunch.
I used to cook bacon & eggs for breakfast on the shovel when lighting up (the engine shed was a long way from our crew accommodation and had no facilities in the early days) , and we still often heat lunch by putting it on the top of the firebox inside the cab.
This locomotive has been one of our mainstays of operation since 1979 - 3'6" gauge South Australian 4-8-0 "T" Class built by Walkers of Maryborough, QLD in 1917 (builder's number 276 - 79.7 short tons total weight, 21,004lb tractive effort):
The T has been out of action for the last two years - major boiler repairs around the foundation ring & crown sheet have been completed and it should be back up and running within a few months, COVID permitting.
