You have so much narrow gauge in your backyard not to mention standard gauge. Why not volunteer? I’m just saying learn a trade and forget computers. You will make more in a trade. I gave you examples where you could make the money for your dreams.. it may be hard but it’s worth it. You love trains why don’t you go into an industry where you can work on Alcos, Detroit’s, Cats, and Fairbanks? Our learn about steam? There is more that you can get out of a 2 page calculus problem then learning to code. Unless you just want to build your railway in the cloud. More money is in analog then in digital! Just saying. You do one rebuild on a Diesel engine and your hooked! Remember there are two astronauts that a Merchant Mariners first, they may be twins but they started in the second branch of the us military even though they were civilians first.
