Thanks Brian - I was wondering what that terminology meant. And Dan, interesting about the quality of firewood. For a decade we owned an old house and heated it almost exclusively by wood stove. Softwoods like pine burned too quickly, but I can see how the pine pitch would give good heat. I liked elm, which burns down to a fine ash, but is a bugger to split. Beech was my favorite. A hardwood with lotsa btu’s and super easy to split. Sourcing the wood for Eureka must be fun when you’re on the road, and at the mercy of local suppliers.
