Same with me. Used to buy all kinds of books etc from the CRRM, and old paperwork was included with the orders. Had quite a few pieces saved over the years, but donated all except this one to the Ridgway RR Museum folks. Also had a complete set of the original "Iron Horse News". Bob Richardson probably got too many back issues, so at some point sold them all as a set. I gather there's a book now of them, but my originals went to Ridgway as well.

As to value of paperwork, I recently brokered a deal for 50 dispatcher page sheets from a long-gone electric rly near me, and the buyer paid $1/page. The seller was amazed he got that much, and I'm sure the buyer would have paid double, because it was his favorite railway. Maybe SVR would give a tax receipt, as I agree with you and Philip that things like this are probably better with an historical group dedicated to that line, rather than someone's basement.

But it's a great idea to scan them first. Here's that RGS time slip I kept from the CRRM. A.J. Gibbs and J.E. Monroe were engineer and fireman of 227 that day. A.J. Gibbs was "Albert", according to Josie Moore Crum's book. And for historical research, snippets like this are great for proving things like Rio Grande 227 ran on the Southern back then. Great info for someone wanting to compile a list of all the engines leased over the years.
