Re: D&SNG motive power

This might be a bit too early to ask but is 478 going to sit in the museum for the next 20 years like 476 or is it going to be rebuilt? I heard it had some of the same problems as the 476 and that is why it got put away but since a full rebuild is not needed for the next 4-5 years is the D&S thinking of doing a long slow rebuild of the locomotive? It could be converted to oil with out taking another locomotive out of service. I just hate to see it sit there especially since the 100th birthday of the K-28's is coming.

P.S. Amazing job on the 493. I was hoping to attend the wither photo special but school got in the way. I should be up there this summer to take some photos and hopefully see some of the events over by the C&T.
