IMHO, 1985 is Modern Times, '223 -
Speaking as a pre-Boomer, to me the world stopped operating properly when the D&RGW quit running freights over Cumbres in 1968. Some of the pre-pre-Boomers who post here – such as Haich, the JéBêWèX and Roger – would more likely say 1951, when the 'San Juan' was taken off . . .

p.s. IIRC, there was a time when 'Boomer' referred to a feller what boomed around the country workin' fer a bunch o' different railroads.
