Man, I just
knew many wouldn't get the point.
Okay, think on this: A large number of people each year go to the top of the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty in NYC, but that doesn't mean the majority of
everyone who goes to NYC wants to visit them (or any appreciable number of the people who live there).
So, someone goes to NYC and doesn't want to do either and doesn't see the point in doing this, that doesn't mean they're horrible people. But you have to take that number into account.
Hey, I'm as big a NG fan as any of you, but it's
not a character flaw for someone to not give a darn about that which means so much to us. How can anyone here not see that inescapable fact?
We all get close to or hear about other tourist draws that any one of us couldn't care less about. Are we each horrible people for not giving a darn about
them?
If someone wants to destroy the railroad or get it in trouble, okay, there's a problem to address. But if they couldn't care either way, that means it's just not their thing, and nothing else.
Yeah, okay, 200K go to the D&S each year? Cool, my wife and I accounted for 2 in that number this year. How can any of you not see that countless people drive right on past the exit for Durango or go through town, completely uncaring the RR is even there?
