It may have run at the Royal Gorge. But the pics I have seen of the 4-6-2 running there bare no resemblance to the #12. Different cylinders, cab, etc. You can see where Daney raised the #12's cab when made it a 5" scale engine. Did they have more than one engine at the Gorge? It would make sense for an engine up there to go to Daney for rebuilding as he was somewhat close by.
