Sounds like Jim's trip on 09/19/96 to me, Michael -
He ran a more exclusive – and pricier – two-day excursion from Chama to Antonito and back on the 17th & 18th, and then the Chama to Big Horn r.t. – a trip I could almost afford, on top of travel expenses – on the third day, with #463 and #497 — a combo worth driving the 1,000+ miles from SoCal to watch. See [ngdiscussion.net] - especially the last shot on [ngdiscussion.net], taken just before the drizzle turned to sleet that turned to mushy snow by the time we got to Cumbres. Was your wife among the crowd that Brad LaRose and I attempted to shield from the snow by standing in the front doorway of the boxcar immediately behind the rider gon?
