Maybe the point is NOT to have it out perform the Silverton? Sell just enough to justify, but not pull too many off the “main attraction ?” Maybe the point is to appear it’s more expensive than the historic venue.

Last thought, this will go by Tall Timber, so you don’t want this to draw the zip line crowd as that alone covers the 461 (I think) train. Three of the cars were paid for (or rebuilt) by them and they might want them on the diesel train instead?

My thought is they are not really excited about it being too successful. This would possibly cause their business, problems. It’s priced to work with, not destroy their lucrative business.

This is purely a theory with no real facts beyond what I see and have heard over the years.
