I highly doubt that CRRM is required to follow hours of service. They probably use it as a practice for safety but the FRA has no jurisdiction over an operation such as that. They can advise though I'm sure.

It's a shame what happened to John's shop and hope he can recover. Has it been decided if the reproduction locomotive will come out with a proper Westinghouse air compressor or is it still going to have a generator hidden in the tender to produce air for the brakes?
