Actually, the compressed air is for moving short distances as an auxiliary system, and was designed-in as an auxiliary back in 2015 when all the museum had was about 350 feet of demonstration track. Since our situation changed in late 2017, we now have a 1/2 mile loop track that is built to FRA Class 1 standards that is finished and operating. The locomotive was always designed to be a fully operational steam engine, oil-fired, built to full FRA standards, so it can also run occasionally on such area narrow gauge lines as the D&S and the C&TS. It is not purely a compressed air vehicle.
