From what I've heard, #18's tender is barely adequate to get #18 from one water stop to the next, even with a fairly light train. Not only would it look ridiculously small attached to a K-37, there's no way that a tender the size of #18's would be adequate for #493 -or- #498 in regular service with a heavy train.
