Finally RGS 5 rolls into town..
After unloading the passengers, and 476 putting the flanger away and heading for the roundhouse, #18 turned the train and left it on the main track in front of the depot
...before heading for the house herself,
The trip home to Phoenix was an adventure itself. We managed to sneak out between storms, but the roads were snowpacked from Durango to within 30 miles of Gallup NM. It was clear sailing from there. That night the next storm moved in, dumping 2 1/2" of rain in may back yard. At 1750', my house was just under the snowline of 2000'. North Phoenix and Scottsdale got up to 6" of snow. A half mile from my house, the Superstition Mountains had a nice mantle of snow
the end....finally.
Thanks for looking.
